Signs continue to indicate the RV industry’s comeback from the recent global downturn is steady. The recent Hershey RV Show, the largest RV show in the country, had a robust attendance of more than 43,000 RVers, which is a record for the longstanding event. What’s more, all accounts indicate attendees were in a buying mood, as RV companies reported great sales. In addition to the shopping part of the event, seminars and workshops also had a strong showing.
Another sign of the health of the RV industry is a report from Carefree RV Resorts of a stellar year, showing a 6.7 revenue increase over last year. This company is the 10th largest owner of RV campgrounds in the nation.
Yet another sign came from the recent Gulf Stream show, where President Dan Shea commented that life is pretty good right now for his RV manufacturing company, just as it is for similar companies. The popularity of RVing is certainly showing no signs of waning.
