A Utah family is off on a yearlong grand adventure, traveling the country in an RV. They sold many of their possessions, including their house, and now they are living in their new quarters — a 38-foot motorhome. Kamie and Roam Poulter along with Aleksa and Kaden, their two teenage children, have embarked on the journey of a lifetime that is sure to create amazing memories.

How are they going to manage this trip? Roam is taking a partial sabbatical, but he plans to continue working some as well as write a book about a family who takes an international trip together.

What about school for the children? No problem. They have enrolled in Utah Virtual Academy and will be continuing their education online.

What do they plan to see? What don’t they plan to see might be a better question. They will make stops at Disney World, Disneyland and other famous landmarks. Roam is looking forward to eating lobster in Maine, admiring cherry blossoms in Washington D.C. and taking the children to see Mount Rushmore. Aleksa is eager to see the Liberty Bell and the historic Northeast, while Kaden is anticipating sunny California and Florida.

Aside from seeing the sights, they are looking forward to deepening family bonds that are already strong. As Kaden says, “It’s more the journey, not the destination.”
