Few things are as fun as a good old fashioned talent show, and Carefree RV Resort’s yearly foray into the world of show biz is sure to be supremely enjoyable. On March 20, Carefree will host its 2nd Annual Talent Competition at the Sun in Fun Air Museum in Lakeland, Florida. It will be quite an event, as 25 campers representing 25 Carefree parks will be vying for a grand prize of $5,000. The person who wins second place will be awarded $500 plus two free nights at the Blue Moon Inn in Dunedin, Florida.

Approximately 600 snowbirds from Carefree parks in Florida are expected to attend. Last year’s show was a resounding success, as attendees had a grand time watching the array of performances that showcased a high degree of creativity, skill and talent.

And speaking of show biz, it appears that the appeal of the RV lifestyle isn’t confined to “ordinary” people but includes television stars as well. The Inquisitor reports that former MASH star Gary Burghoff, who fans will fondly remember as Radar O ‘Reilly, may be residing in a Florida RV park. Rumor has it that he spends his days fishing and taking his dog for long walks in the woods. Burghoff has a brick and mortar home in Connecticut but loves touring around the nation in his RV.
