Missouri’s Tax-Free Weekend takes place every year at the beginning of August. Missouri’s average tax rate is typically set at 4.225% meaning shoppers can save big on the back-to-school shopping list. And, maybe get an item or two for mom and dad as well!
The tax saving holiday is scheduled this year for August 7-9 and, considering Branson has some of the best shopping around, you’ll definitely want to take advantage! Eligible items include footwear, backpacks, art supplies, notebooks, computer accessories, computer software, calculators and other supplies. During the weekend, shoppers can save by not having to pay the state tax portion of 4.225% on their purchases of these items.
Branson is home to a variety of shopping centers including The Tanger Outlets, featuring over 70 stores including Nike, Famous Footwear, Old Navy and more. The next day, be sure to stop by the infamous Branson Landing for some more shopping and good local dining. No matter where you go, you’re sure to find something for everyone in the family!
